Write on!

A desk is a specialized table where you perform certain tasks, or a set of tasks, that will likely depend on who you are. Not all desk are suited for all needs.

A custom crafted hardwood desk says so much about who you are and what you value. Your desk is where you think, write, conduct your business and where you create.

Dovetailed drawers

Your needs are what determines how many drawers your desk will have, if any at all. Perhaps you only require a slim pencil drawer just below the level of the desktop. Maybe you need ample storage for files you regularly access. All drawers feature solid dovetail construction for a lifetime of use.

You might prefer to have a cupboard-style door instead of drawers, maybe to house and conceal your computer. Door design will depend on the overall look you are trying to achieve.

Not just a work station

Your desk should be a personalized space, not generic. You might try to achieve this with accessories, pictures and the like, but this won't compare to having planned and commissioned a unique piece of furniture that will last for generations.

An Edmonton couple commissioned this desk for their teenage daughter last year. This traditionally built piece fits perfectly in her room, both for its size and for its details - the leg shape, the beading, the shape of the top - all of which were chosen to echo features on her existing furniture.

What a beautiful way to support their child as she pursues her education. She will treasure this custom crafted piece throughout her adult life.
