Light and Delicate

This line of tables was derived from Gerrybuilt's own "Prairie Collection" - and quite by accident.

As with most crafts, planning a project on paper can only get you so far and at a certain point, the medium does the talking. While working on the legs for what was going to be a cherry Prairie table, I noticed an unacceptable amount of lighter sapwood. I positioned the unwanted material so that it could be easily removed by tapering the inside of the legs.

And so the Foothills Line was created!

Legs appear to "dance."

Flowing Lines

An interesting thing about Foothills legs is that they appear to move as one walks around the table. As you can see in the photos, some legs appear straight (seen edgewise), while others have a maximum deflection, when in fact, they are all shaped exactly the same.

Seen here is a small bedside table, 17 inches high with a 19 inch square top.

All Foothills Line tables feature the legs with an inflection point two thirds of the way down from the top.

The Foothills Line is available in cherry, maple and birch, in heights ranging from 17 to 26 inches, though sizes are easily customized to meet your specific needs.
